OSM

One platform. Independent and extensible.

Structured cooperation calls for clear roles, transparent permissions and reliable information. OSM Core provides the technical foundation to run an organization, without depending on an outside cloud or on rigid requirements.

The OSM window on its situation page, in German: tabs at the top, below them counts of orders, calls and members, an open distress call, who is on duty and the alert level. Every entry is named Probe, the German word for sample.
From the sample office, all names are made up. Today the app speaks German. Picture at full size.

The architecture at a glance

1. OSM Core (base platform)

The game-free foundation. It holds the core functions for managing members, files, clearances, distress calls, orders and the treasury.

Status: Built

2. Plugin system

A modular interface that fits the range of functions to particular games. A plugin loads only with a valid signature.

Status: Built

3. Optional extensions (e.g. the Star Citizen plugin)

Plugins add specialized tools, for Star Citizen such as trade, loadout, places and game data. The base platform also runs without them.

Status: Built

Security by design

OSM works on the principle of minimal data exposure. Content is encrypted on the members' devices. Relays see the address, when and how much is sent and which addresses use the same channel, but never the content. Cryptographic control stays with the organization's leadership. Toward the game, OSM stays passive.
